Photo Album “ATHENS: Exploring Attica”

The natural wonders, the surrounding beaches, the protective mountain peaks, and the ideal climate make it a unique tourist destination all year round. This results in a thriving flora and fauna, and the constant flow of clear waters that spring from its heart and spill into rivers, lakes, and streams, ready to generously offer the coolness of this abundant element in the Attic land.

Athens, the capital of Greece, was passionately praised by the national poet, Kostis Palamas, who wrote the famous verse “Athens diamondstone, on Earth the ring!..” It has been a symbol in world history for years. Over the centuries, many have written, praised, sung, and laid their souls at the feet of the city named after the goddess of wisdom, Athena. Her wise gift of the olive tree, a symbol of peace, to the city has also marked her name throughout the centuries.

Brimming with a variety of aromas and colors, it has been the subject of countless paintings, photographic illustrations, and unique instant photos. The natural landscape is complemented by the spatial and residential development with various types scattered throughout its region. These areas, both well-known and lesser-known, attract visitors, locals, and foreigners, who seek an escape from reality or familiarity with a corner of Attica that extends from the Saronic to the mountain peaks of Parnitha, the Triassic Field, and Lutsa.

We decided to capture all this magic exuded by the Region of Attica in an album. We sought capable photos to create an album promoting Athens’ cultural identity. Our desire is to showcase its beauty as far as its geographical boundaries extend and the Attic sky spreads, hoping to take you on a journey through images, colors, and aromas that will touch your senses and stimulate your imagination on a colorful and multidimensional journey.
