Naxos undoubtedly has many and varied beaches to visit. It’s an island that offers you beaches of every type. Whether you’re going as a couple, or with friends, or as family, you’ll definitely find the one that suits you and maybe spend all your vacation days there. But the beauty, the access, and the comfort that Agios Prokopios provides are not easy to find them anywhere else.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Agios Prokopis: The most famous and largest beach of Naxos<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Characteristic of the beach is the white thick, 4 km long sandy beach and its deep turquoise waters. If you decide to go there for swimming, you will see an organized beach, with sunbeds and umbrellas. Also around the beach, there are shops, restaurants and many bars with music that cheer you up.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the summer months, it is the time of the year that Naxos has the most of its tourists, Agios Prokopis fills from visitors, not only because it is the largest and most famous beach of the island but it is also wild beautiful. In addition to the beauty of the landscape and the waters, Agios Prokopios is rated among the ten best beaches in Europe and it is the third-best in Greece, while every year it is awarded a blue flag.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If yout the beach and you want to have real fun, you can try watersports such as windsurfing, canoe kayak, jet ski, and others under the discreet supervision of shore lifeguards.<\/p>\n

Useful information about the beach<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The beach is located 5 km southwest of the town (Chora) of the island. Around the beach, there is enough space available for parking. You will see a large spread area consisting mainly of dunes and trees.<\/p>\n

You can easily use the regular bus or taxi services, or you can to rent a vehicle, the area has several car and motorcycle rental shops.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In general, Agios Prokopis is the beach that leaves no one untouched, and no one complaining. It is no coincidence that the beach has visitors who love to spend time there every time they go to the island.<\/p>\n
