Most of us have been to many museums. Some of them, however, stand out for their originality. Like the Museum of Historical Motorcycles in Nicosia, Cyprus.<\/strong> An effort of a private individual, that counts over 30 years, can only impress the visitor. Especially if he’s a fan of 2-wheel vehicles.<\/p>\n

The Museum was founded by Andreas Nikolaou and the result of all this great effort is, to have a hundred and fifty motorcycles gathered in a place in Nicosia today.<\/strong> In the museum, you will see motorcycles from 1914 to 1983, such as AJS, MATCHLESS, NORTONS, BSA, MV AGUSTA, TRIUMPH, ARIEL, BMW, MOTO GUZZI, JAMES, ROYAL ENFIELD and many others.<\/p>\n

Some of the motorcycles in the Museum undoubtedly steal the show. There, you will see three police motorcycles that accompanied Archbishop Makarios.<\/strong> Also on display is the motorcycle of EOKA hero Stylianos Lenas, which he had used to transport weapons and ammunition. In the Museum of Historical Motorcycle the motorcycle of the first champion in Cyprus in 1970-1973 Turkish Cypriot Zeki Isa, is also there. Among the many exhibits, there are also World War II military motorcycles as well as other models.<\/p>\n
