It is a green landscape around Lake Velymachio that leaves you speechless. <strong>In the shadow of Mount Erymanthos in Achaia, you meet another Greece, so picturesque and so green.<\/strong> You become one with nature and you think of how you could stay there forever.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Achaia: The little&#8230; Switzerland in a beautiful corner of Greece<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lake Velymachiou is an artificial lake located in the Daska area in the village of Velymache in Achaia. It was only created in 2014 and around it now spreads a beautiful and special alpine landscape. A rare place. The lake was created by a dirt dam and has a capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters of water. <strong>Through this beautiful artificial lake, crops are irrigated in areas of 2,000 acres.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In fact, initially, it was not to create the dam there. The initial construction would take place in an area where archaeological finds were eventually found. The dam today is a habitat of fish and rare bird species. And the scenery is magnificent. A setting of absolute peace and tranquility.<\/p>\n<p>It is not by chance one of the most favorite destinations in the Peloponnese. It is an ideal location to relax and come into greater contact with nature.
