Tourism is changing. Mutated. It is adjusting to today. To the new needs that are created. The tourist’s requirements are different. What are the new trends for travel? What are we going to see?<\/strong> The travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller gathered what comes on the tourist map at a rapid pace.<\/p>\n

Are you tired of visiting places that have hundreds, even thousands of tourists together with you? I guess you’re not the only one. 2020 will bring new ideas. Some of them are already being implemented. Some will grow. Some of them are going to be fashionable.<\/p>\n

Let’s see what we can expect.<\/p>\n

Tourism focusing on… DNA<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Conde Nast Traveller sees a new trend. Searching for one’s roots, one has to start somewhere and end somewhere. This is a new tourist audience. Researching his DNA, his origins, he will need to travel near or far. New ties, new destinations. It is genealogical tourism and some have already invested in it.<\/strong> Interest.<\/p>\n

Do you know the Home-tels?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A new terminology has entered the travel vocabulary abroad for good. The Home-tels. Elegant properties, spaces with personality. Rooms with high aesthetics offer the visitor a different stay.<\/strong> This trend is in conflict with the Airbnb <\/strong><\/a>and the hotels.<\/strong><\/a> It plans to claim market share. Are there any conditions for it to do so? Of Course. The beautiful always wins. And sells.<\/p>\n

Tourism in… Space<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Agreed. It sounds elusive, but some people are interested. And they are ready to get in… Orbit. A new market is being created. Companies plan to conduct sub-rail flights for space tourists in 2020. Amazon’s Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic are already working on their grandiose plans. Did you know that the Getaway Foundation is preparing the hotel in space?<\/strong> It is said to be ready in 2025 and will be able to accommodate up to 100 guests. Awesome!<\/p>\n

Vegetarian tourism<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Research claims that 25% of Britons will be vegetarians by 2025. They are not the only ones who are turning against meat consumption. More will now be provided for vegans. There’s demand. There’s going to be an offer.<\/strong> The choices in the hotels that will serve vegans are also expected to be greater. Vegetarian tourism is ahead of us.<\/p>\n

Generation Y’s cruise<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Richard Branson’s plan is brilliant. Virgin Voyages is committed to implementing the ambitious idea: the Generation Y cruise. The Scarlet Lady ship will not be just a ship … of love. There’ll be tattoo studios. Vinyl records will be sold. Vegetarian restaurants. Handmade beer. Karaoke. The new generation sets the rules! And it wants to change … today’s buffet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flights of opulence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Major airlines <\/strong><\/a>are planning a new era in travel. Emirates, Qatar Airways and Virgin Atlantic have already set up bars in both first-class and Business Class sections. Airbus will place bunk beds on its aircrafts.<\/strong> In some people’s designs, there is the creation of a common dining room and even a yoga area.<\/p>\n

Dishes that “fly”<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A new trend has been created in gastronomy. Global airports – in New York, Beijing, Paris – have invested in their restaurants.<\/strong> Famous-award-winning chefs, Michelin-starred restaurants.<\/p>\n

The train<\/strong><\/h3>\n

At a time when the major airlines are planning the new form of flights, a differential travel concept has been born. And it’s purely due to climate change. In Sweden, a word has been created about the shame that the frequent-flying person must feel. It’s called flygskam.<\/strong> There is a trend that seems to lead travellers to choose the train for the routes they can.
