There are hundreds of Greek villages across the country. Some on the islands and others on the mainland. Some of them stand out for their history, their name, or some characteristic. One of them in the Peloponnese stands out for its view and its name. Kosmas village,<\/strong> as it is called, is a Greek village in Arcadia, which is also called a balcony on Mount Parnonas<\/strong>. If you are there, you will understand why. But apart from that, you will have met another beautiful and special corner of the Peloponnese.<\/p>\n

Kosmas village: A beautiful balcony
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kosmas is built at an altitude of almost 1,130 meters in a fairytale setting made of a fir forest. Wherever you turn your gaze you will see trees and picturesque traditional buildings. It is no coincidence that Kosmas has been characterized as a traditional settlement. There you will go if you want to find peace and relax away from the intense everyday life.<\/p>\n

You will meet the few residents and as many visitors as happen to be in the area. You will walk in picturesque alleys, admiring the stone houses. And you will end up in the big square of the village to drink your Greek at the caf\u00e9. Somewhere there you feel that time stops, or at least slower. You enter a calmer everyday life, that of the village!<\/p>\n

And after that, you will enjoy local traditional recipes in the taverns of the village. If you like walking, you should know that there are several paths around the village. Many of them are not signposted and you can follow them to enjoy nature or even to pick chestnuts.<\/p>\n

How to get to Kosmas village<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can go to Kosmas either via Sparta or Leonidio. The first option is the shortest. However, from the second way you will enjoy the route more. This is because it passes parallel to the coasts of the eastern Peloponnese.<\/strong> All this if you are not dizzy by the turns as you will meet several. What is certain is that the destination will reward you with more than that. Kosmas village, the balcony of Parnon is a Greek village – a small diamond worth adding to your itinerary.<\/p>\n
