Traveling to various parts of Greece you will surely have met and admired many stone bridges. Craftsmen traveled all over the country and made masterpieces of stone with their special art. One of these stone bridges has a peculiarity in terms of its shape and is located in Kastoria<\/strong>. The reason for the Dendrochori Bridge is not so well known to many but extremely impressive.<\/strong> It is a Greek single-arched stone bridge whose arch forms an almost perfect circle.<\/p>\n

The Greek stone bridge has an arch of an almost perfect circle<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Dendrochori Bridge<\/strong> bridges the river Ladopotamos<\/strong> in Kastoria. This single-arched stone bridge was built around 1866 by a local great master builder, Sdrolios<\/strong>. Since then it has been standing there and is a real work of art that is worth admiring at least once up close.<\/p>\n

What makes the bridge special is its construction and specifically its arch. This is because the opening of its arch forms an arch in the shape of an almost perfect circle<\/strong>. It has such a construction that the distance between the rocky outcrops on which it rests can be covered. Once upon a time, the image in that area was even more vivid.<\/strong> Within walking distance from the bridge, there were once, according to testimonies, a watermill, and an inn. It is no coincidence, after all, that once the area was called Hani Beriki.<\/p>\n
