The Spring of Pausanias<\/strong> is one of Methana\u2019s most well-known springs, but most visitors to the area are clueless about it. It is located in the northeast of the Methana peninsula and has something distinctive in all of Greece. This specific source of carbon dioxide gases rises up in a reservoir of seawater. These source gases increase the temperature of the seawater to about 39 degrees Celsius when the water discharge is minimal and the water weight and pressure on the gas column diminish. And what makes it stand out worldwide? The Spring of Pausanias is the world\u2019s richest source of silicic acid<\/strong>. It is even reported that its waters can heal gynecological<\/strong> and skin diseases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
