The famous beaches of Halkidiki<\/strong><\/a> with the impressive Kavourotripes. Kavourotripes is located on the eastern side of the Sithonia peninsula. In essence, it is a cluster of beaches or rather small bays, “hidden” in the embrace of a dense pine forest. White small sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, scenery of “pool” – note that the waters are warm, white rocks and dense pine trees that reach the waves, compose this impressive landscape of exotic beauty. At the same time, the view of the imposing Mount Athos intensifies the feeling of a small, hidden paradise.<\/p>\n

One… A secret that the people of Halkidiki wanted to keep so well hidden, that there was not -and still does not exist- even a sign on the main road for visitors to find. This, of course, did not stop Kavourotripes from becoming famous. Yes!!<\/p>\n

The famous beaches have not been damaged by tourism and do not expect here to find sunbeds (except for the “Orange” beach), umbrellas and noisy tavernas. The nice thing is that you can hop in the small coves on the coast, on foot, but you need to be careful in the slippery passages and dense vegetation.<\/p>\n

How to get to Kavourotripes.<\/strong> Sithonia, the middle peninsula of Halkidiki, is about 700 km from Athens. When you get there, more specifically, on the road to Sarti, about 6km south of Armenistis and 5km. north of Platanitsi, on the route with the repeated turns there is a long straight.<\/p>\n

Among the pine trees, small openings can be seen and there are the entrances -like other rabbit holes in Alice in Wonderland- for the enchanting beaches. The descent is short.<\/p>\n

And a Tip:<\/strong> The sign on the main road with the indication “Portokali beach bar” leads to the bar located on the longest beach of Kavourotripa, about 350 meters, via dirt road. This very nice beach bar is the only organized infrastructure in Kavourotripes.<\/p>\n
