During the winter months the stagnant waters from the high tide and the rain <strong>gather inside the beach, resulting in a small lake, which the locals call Limnitsa<\/strong>. The sunset moment on this beach is also very impressive as the sun sets between these two. <strong>There are also many caves in the area.<\/strong> According to the tradition passed down from generation to generation, Kato Nisi is considered the Land of the Cyclops and the islands of Panagia as &#8220;Cyclopetra&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Panagia is in one part organized with umbrellas and sunbeds but in addition it is so large that you will comfortably find your own space to put your towel and the privacy you want. What you should remember before visiting Elafonisos is that you must book on time due to the limited number of accommodation while at the same time prices will seem a little higher compared to the mainland Peloponnese.
