For example, the “little Cappadocia” of Greece.<\/strong> A place of special beauty and very strange morphology. And from its name, you understand that it resembles Cappadocia in Turkey. The Boukharia Geopark in Kozani<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This area of Kozani essentially consists of rocks and natural landforms. These, according to the scientists and researchers who studied the site, resulted from soil erosion over thousands of years. This is how this wonderful natural attraction came to be. \"Bouharia<\/picture>Visiting the Boukharia Geopark in Kozani you will notice that they are essentially rock formations or better a kind of earthen column. Columns made of sand, pebbles, marls, and clays, and possibly an adhesive made of iron oxides and silicon dioxide – these are the words of a report by the University of Athens.<\/p>\n

“Buhari” in the local dialect means chimney<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The tops of these columns are covered by shale, which seems to have become the umbrella in the formation’s evolution. The columns are about 20, and their height varies from 3 to 6 meters.
