It is a building built in 1661 which today has been transformed into a fascinating museum. It has been set up and decorated in such a way that it manages to transport you to the everyday life of one of the most historic families in Greece, in a remote mountain village and even during another era. It is a living museum and the largest of its kind in Greece, with waterfalls, stone bridges, and water mills, where the locals still wash blankets and carpets.<\/p>\n

7. Averofios Garden<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Something you should not miss even when you are in Metsovo even for a few days is the Averofios Garden<\/strong>. This is the garden that you will find within a short walk, just above the central square of Metsovo, and which you will reach very easily. The Averofios Garden is filled with trees and plants that essentially represent the flora of Pindos and in its center is the church of Agios Georgios. Apart from what you will see, however, you will be fascinated by the breathtaking view of Pindos National Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Most of these works were selected by the Averoff himself and the collection is considered one of the most important of that period.<\/p>\n
