Evia is the second largest island in Greece and has some very beautiful landscapes that are not widely known. Among these beauties, some beaches, organized or not, with crystal clear waters and various forms of sand that should be included in the list of the summer visitors of Evia, stand out. The unknown beauty of the beaches of Evia challenges you to swim in them. It is an opportunity to get to know better one of the largest islands of Greece without traveling too far from Athens.<\/p>\n

Arhamboli Beach<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The very beautiful and perhaps the loneliest beach of Evia is located on the north side of the eastern coastline of Karystos. It is a beach with crystal-clear blue waters and high-quality sand. The landscape is special as it is surrounded by elements of wild beauty such as steep cliffs and ravines connected to Mount Ochi.<\/p>\n

The beach is usually reached by sea, but it can also be done through a path connected to Arhamboli through the settlement of Thymi or Evangelismos. To reach the coast by land, you should leave Karystos and head east towards the village of Aetos. When you pass the village, the road will branch off, and you will have to head north.<\/p>\n

From that point of the bend, you can clearly see on the right the view from the Strait of Cape Doro. You will follow the asphalt road to the village of Platanistos. After the village, a dirt road runs north to Evangelismos, about 43 km from Karystos, or to Thymi, 50 km away.<\/p>\n

Vythouri Beach<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Vithouri beach is the most beautiful and picturesque beach of Evia. When you visit it, you will notice a small, deserted coast with crystal clear turquoise waters overlooking the Aegean Sea.<\/p>\n

The wild beauty of the natural environment is characterized by the huge rocks that are all around and, in combination with the clean seabed and the shiny pebbles, create a beach that you did not think existed in Evia. Even the sun enhances the beach’s glamour, as it only sees it for six hours in the summer. Those who decide to swim in the enchanting waters of Vithouri should be properly equipped, as there are no necessities in the area. Access presents a certain difficulty in the last part before we arrive.<\/p>\n

More specifically, you will start from Chalkida to North Evia. Will
\nhead to Psachna. Upon arrival, you will continue to the village of Palioura, aiming at Agios Athanasios. Arriving at Agios Athanasios, you will find a sign heading to Glyfada beach, Vithouri. On the route, about 17 km. During which you will climb and descend the mountain, green dominates. Shortly after Glyfada, a dirt road starts for about 5 km.<\/p>\n

Cheromilos Beach<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The beach of Cheromilos, also known as Cheromili, is located in Central Evia, just after the community of Petries. The coast consists of coarse sand, which, in combination with very fine pebbles and the crystal clear waters of the sea, will enchant you. The beach is not organized, but during the summer months, there is a canteen with all the necessities.<\/p>\n

To reach the beach, you will start from Chalkida and head to South Evia. Towards the village of Lepoura, you will head right, towards Karystos, and shortly after, you will reach the village of Krieza. You will turn left, towards Petries \u2013 Agioi Apostoli. After 6-7 km, you will follow the signs on your left, towards Stomio \u2013 Cheromilos.<\/p>\n

Finally, you will reach a fork where, to the left, you will proceed and reach Cheromilos beach, while to the right, at 500m, you will reach Stomio beach. The road is asphalted to the end.<\/p>\n

Agios Dimitris Beach<\/h4>\n

The beach of Agios Demetriou is a coast of rare beauty on the side of South Evia and washed by the Aegean Sea. The waters are turquoise, and the sea deepens rapidly. At the bottom of the sea, there are very small white pebbles.<\/p>\n

A part of the beach near the sea also consists of small white pebbles. On the contrary, as you move away from the sea, there is coarse, beautiful sand. The beach is small and disorganized. It is ideal for camping.<\/p>\n

Access to reach the beach is relatively difficult, but with an interesting route. There is a dirt road about 2 km to the coast. Before you get close to the beach, you have to cross a small river.<\/p>\n

The crossing through the river is not difficult, as it can be done by a conventional car. This small river ends in a very small pond with frogs, exactly where the beach begins.<\/p>\n

Thapsa Beach<\/h4>\n

The beach of Thapsa is located in central Evia and is one of the most inaccessible on the island. Once you arrive, you will notice a very beautiful beach with calm, transparent waters and very fine sand. The landscape captivates you, as the coast is through a forest of tamarisk trees and steep slopes. The beach is disorganized and visited by many for camping. It has calm waters, and many times they come with private boats from other places.<\/p>\n

You will head to Kymi and the village of Maletianoi. The route continues on the Kymi-Metochi road until the dirt road to Tsilaros beach starts, then continues to Thapsas. To reach the beach, you will need a 4×4 jeep for about a 10 km route of difficult dirt road.<\/p>\n

Korasida Beach<\/h4>\n

It is a long beach, one of the most popular in Evia. Its scenery consists of small pebbles reminiscent of sugarplum and clear turquoise waters. It is a very beautiful combination of the mountain’s natural beauty and the sea. The ideal time to enjoy your swim is to achieve it without air. That’s why you’ll never find it full. When the sea is calm, the water’s transparency and the colors on the seabed are very beautiful. Huge rocks in the sea make the seabed even more interesting. But be careful, because like most Aegean seas, it deepens abruptly.<\/p>\n

Its location is famous for its thermal spring, which cures stomach and kidney diseases. When you visit, you should bring the necessary supplies, as it is not organized, and the sun is intense throughout the day. Your route: follow the road to southern Evia and continue to Kymi. There you will find Neochori. On your right, you will see a sign for Korasida beach. You will follow the good signs, and on your right, you will see the village of Achladeri. After a while, you will see the Aegean Sea. Going downhill, you will see at first glance and be charmed by the beach with its beautiful colors.<\/p>\n
