Against the backdrop of the high mountains of Epirus, with lacy shores in the Ionian Sea and near the western end of the Via Egnatia, Sivota has many reasons to constantly win new believers! There you will find exotic sandy beaches and verdant islands that you probably did not imagine existed in Greece.<\/p>\n

Sivota, the exotic Epirus <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sivota is developed around a picturesque harbor, with a paved waterfront. In fact, it is a seaside village in
\nThesprotia. <\/strong>That leaves you with your mouth open. The settlement is built in a small bay with scattered islets, the largest of which are Agios Nikolaos, Mavro Oros, and Mourtemeno.<\/p>\n

The green hills and red-tiled houses create a spectacle that calms you in itself.<\/strong> Just beyond the main settlement, you start to see images reminiscent of the Caribbean without exaggeration.<\/p>\n

For the lucky ones with a boat, Sivota has much more to reveal. The place is full of “secret” bays, sandy beaches, and caves, while circumnavigating the islands offers great emotions. An experience that will surely be unforgettable no matter how many times you are there.<\/p>\n

The beaches of Sivota<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The waters in Sivota are like the Caribbean or some other exotic island you have seen in photos. The most famous beaches here are Bella Vraka and Pisina.<\/strong> The first in Mourtemeno, one of the uninhabited -but verdant and beautiful- islets, opposite the settlement. This island is actually connected to the coast through an underwater strip of sand with a depth of a few centimeters, so you will reach it on foot! The beauty is breathtaking both from above and up close. It is not an organized beach, so you should take care of everything you need early on.<\/p>\n

Pisina, on the other hand, on the island of Black Mountain, can be reached by the small boat that makes the short route from the port of Sivota.<\/strong> The colors and transparency of the water, the sand, the natural… Decor really makes up for an exotic experience here! Those who consider it one of the most beautiful beaches in the country are not wrong.<\/p>\n

Sivota, however, has sandy beaches for every taste. Near the center of the settlement are Zavia (with abundant greenery and enough… cool due to freshwater springs), Gallikos Molos, Geri, and Stavento.<\/p>\n

A little further out, in the direction of Perdika, there are a number of beaches, of which the most popular are Mikri Ammos and Mega Ammos. In the second, you can also indulge in water sports.<\/p>\n

How to get to Sivota<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sivota of Epirus is about 459 km from Athens. The trip takes almost 5 hours, but the reward will be worth it. When you enter Epirus, after all, the landscapes alternate so harmoniously, already offering the first moments of relaxation away from the city.<\/p>\n
