Yanna Darilis is Naturopathic Doctor and Integrative Nutritionist and completed her doctorate in alternative medicine with her dissertation on “The Biological Benefits of Digestive Enzymes”. She is also a certified personal trainer, Integrative Nutritionist and Lifestyle Medicine Coach, specializing in plant-based diets, anti-aging, performance and corrective nutrition. Her undergraduate and post graduate degrees also include; Bachelor of Science in Physical Education & Health, Bachelor of Science in Film & Television, and a Master of Science.
Yanna was born and raised in New York, and hails from Greek descent. She enjoyed a career as an on -camera talent, lifestyle and fitness TV Host for over two decades, working on the most popular morning shows, as a well as the first English language news and morning show “Proinos Cafes” for Antenna TV, Co-host of the Morning Show Star Café on Star Channel and Hellenic Broadcast’s ERT World. Yanna was the IOC’s Master of Ceremonies for the 2004 Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies, along with directing and voice talent in stadium venues.
Yanna has also worked for NBC Universal on the “Today Show” as a talent and segment producer on 2004 Olympic Games, and E Entertainment’s Tara Reid Reality Show. She has been a consultant for many fitness centers in Athens, a contributing editor to Cosmopolitan magazine (Greece), 7 Days TV Guide, and various Greek newspapers. In 2005 she published the first exercise and nutrition book for Greece, “Love your Body”, where she wrote about the Hippocrates mind -body and soul concept.
Yanna has also organized and moderated various panels at the United Nations SRC, tackling issues on Environmental and Health topics. She has hosted over 100 travel episodes on travelling in Greece aired on PBS, ERT World & OTE History, promoting Greece around the world.
Returning to the US, she became a shareholder in the 35 year only Greek-American Diaspora Television Channel in the US & Canada, NGTV-New Greek TV, where she produced and hosted various TV shows including the News, Lifestyle and Travel shows, and conducts various interviews with high profile guests, ranging on topics from politics, culture, arts, health, entertainment and lifestyle. Yanna has been a contributor to
the huffingtonpost.com , thriveglobal.com, and cyprus mail, writing various articles on health and travel.
Her extensive experience in health, fitness, integrative nutrition and alternative medicine, give Yanna over 30 years’ experience in the health and wellness space. Yanna was recently tapped to help develop ZOE Bioregenerative Clinic, in Santorini Greece, as the Director of Wellness and Lifestyle Medicine.
