The beaches are one of the reasons why Cyprus is famous. Spread-out, sandy and spotless, many of them have a Blue Flag and are an attraction every year. One of them is a long beach full of palm trees. We are talking about Finikoudes.

The beach with the palm trees that rivets you

Larnaca’s most famous coastal road, Finikoudes, is 600 meters long and combines beach, entertainment and culture. What you will see at first glance are lined palm trees planted along the coastal road. A dream beach from the ones you’ve probably seen in movies and maybe you’ve been sometimes jealous.

The sand is fine and you will find it in various shades of brown and beige. The waters in Finikoudes are clean, shallow and always calm. That is, everything you need for families with children. On the one hand, is the marina with its dock and the fishing-boat harbour and on the other, the Medieval Castle. This is a very organized beach where you will not miss anything if you visit it.

Guests usually do sea explorations such as fishing trips, short cruises and diving. All this, starting from the pier of Larnaca Marina, located at the beginning of the coastal road of Finikoudes.

Access is easy on foot, bike, bus or car, with several municipal and private parking spaces serving the wider area. There are many entrances to the coastal front with sidewalks and pedestrian streets leading to the beach and the various centres.

Also in Finikoudes, there is Europe square which took its name from United Europe. Europe Square includes some of the most remarkable architectural examples of the English empire of 1881.

What is certain is, that this beach is a trademark of the region but also of Cyprus in general. Its characteristic, of course, is the impressive palm trees that remind you of exotic places…
