The habit of some customers to remove objects and small things from hotels is not unknown. However, some went too far and left with the whole... dowry with them!

The most common phenomenon is some customers to take hotel towels but in comparison to what you will read, this will seem "trivial". Let us remember, of course, that this is also considered theft.

Check out some f the weirdest things that have been stolen from hotels.

1. Accessories from the bathroom

And yet a customer at a hotel in Berlin removed the showerhead, pieces of parts from the hot tub and even the bath faucets.

2. Miscellaneous works of art

Several times works of art such as paintings have been stolen from hotel rooms. A typical example is an Andy Warhol painting worth $300,000. It was stolen from the W Hotel in Hong Kong. Also, again in Hong Kong, a chandelier was removed from Shangri-La hotel.

3. The pet of the hotel

And yet there was a client who stole the pet dog of the hotel he was staying in.

The five strangest hotel amenities

4. The minibar

And we don't mean drinks from the minibar, we mean the whole minibar. They picked up the cooler and left. However, we must say that the drinks were left behind...

5. Piano

It may sound inconceivable, but it happened. It sounds hard not to understand that they grabbed the piano at a hotel but things are as follows: Starwood's former hotel manager told the Telegraph that three men dressed as movers entered the hotel. They went to the piano, picked it up and took it out without anyone stopping them. Just like that!

6. Hunting mementos

Well, this one's on the list of the strangest. A customer of the Hotel du Vin in Birmingham envied the head of an embalmed boar and decided to take it. However, shortly afterwards he was spotted by hotel employees who had seen him on spot.

Hotel employees come into contact with strange situations every day and the theft of items is one of them...
