Kavala is the living proof that mainland Greece can offer you as strong emotions on its beaches as the Aegean and Ionian islands. Endless beaches, pine forests, and sandy shores that await you to live a unique summer experience. When you get to know Kavala you will realize that it not only offers you a kind of holiday e.g. sun and sea but can combine culture, gastronomy, sea, and new experiences in a unique way that is difficult to find even on an island. Such case is Keramoti of Kavala. And the Ammoglossa is a beach – it is a great experience in itself.

It's worth getting to know it. There you will discover small and large treasures of nature that you probably had not achieved until now even in photographs

Keramoti: The Ammoglossa that connects the sea and pine forest

The beach of Keramoti or Ammoglossa is a unique combination of sea and pine forest. We can say that it is the point that they come together in perfect harmony. Keramoti is a sandy and very shallow sea with clear waters. This explains the fact that it is a favorite destination for families every year.

And not only from northern Greece. There are a lot of visitors who reluctantly trust Kavala for their holidays, the first time and are finally so enchanted by this place that they become fanatical fans. In Ammoglossa you will find a beach bar and organized spots where you can choose a sunbed and order your drink or food.

In Keramoti you will walk in kilometers of sand with fine sand and swim in crystal clear waters. If you're still a water sports fan in Keramoti, you'll find everything you want to boost your adrenaline.

And why is it called Ammoglossa?

The Blue Flag Award-winning keramoti beach stands out for its impressive shape which reminds a tongue. The set consists of basic Greek features: Sun, sea, crystal clear waters, golden sand. It's no exaggeration that it's reminiscent of an atoll on a tropical island.

The beach is five kilometers long and has behind it a unique setting. Behind the beach, many migratory birds, such as lefkotsiknias, find shelter and it is an ideal place for picnics. Just opposite Ammoglossa beach there are the islands of Thasopoula and Thassos.

The pictures speak for themselves...
