If there is one thing Santorini is famous for, then it is its sunset. The sun takes on a crimson color and sinks into the water. The view from the Caldera is unforgettable and famous not only in Greece but all over the world. Apart from this point in Greece, there are other villages, islands, or towns that seem to stand out for their sunset. For example, the... small Santorini of Greece or otherwise Zia. The reason for a village in the Aegean and specifically the Kos. These are the highest village on the island which in addition to the other beauties it has, is also famous for its sunset. It is one of the small villages in Greece that you should put in your program with the first (summer opportunity) that will be given to you.

What is Florina famous for?

Zia: The other... little Santorini of Greece

The picturesque and well-groomed settlement of Zia is, as we said, the highest inhabited point of the island. You will find it on the slope of Mount Dikeos about 15 kilometers away from the city of Kos. From this position it holds, it is not difficult to understand why it is often called the little Santorini of Greece and specifically of Kos. The sunset from there is magnificent and the view is breathtaking. Once you reach the top, you will see the whole island stretching underneath and opposite Kalymnos and the coasts of Asia Minor stand out. For this reason, Zia can be proud of its enjoyable sunset that captivates the visitor through the most beautiful images of the Aegean.
Apart from the beauty of the sunset, the village of Zia is surrounded by lush cypress and pine forests, olive groves, and scattered oaks, as well as several water springs gushing from the mountain. As the visitor follows the uphill road to Zia, he has the opportunity to admire a unique green landscape.

There, on a rock, you can see a chapel that exudes Greece. Blue and white in a unique combination that cannot go unnoticed. The whole village exudes something traditional that you especially find in the Dodecanese. It is the aromas, the images, and the hospitable inhabitants that enhance it.
