isRight next to Athens, traveling for an hour you can find your own swimming paradise with the Gulf of Corinth in the background There you will find clear blue waters and a setting that will make you think that Athens is far away. The beaches of Corinthians Gulf are surely the ideal place to enjoy your swim even for a one-day excursion. All you need to do is to be in a good mood and to load all the necessities in your trunk. All the beaches are not organized.

In ExploringGreece.tv we have chosen and presented some of the most beautiful beaches of the Corinthian Sea

Saranti Beach

Saranti beach, Viotia

On the upper side of the Corinthian Sea, there is a beach that doesn't remind of anything of mainland Greece. It's like you've taken a boat and been on an exotic island. Saranti Beach is located where Viotia ends in the sea and is a pebbled beach with crystal clear and calm waters. The advantage is that it is just an hour and a half away from Athens. The area also has cheap accommodation if you want to spend the night there. See exactly where the beach is HERE.

How would you like to swim overlooking an archeological site? And yet it is possible and just two hours away from Athens. Here you will see it with your own eyes. You will swim enjoying images that will seem that they are taken out of an old fairy tale book. The archaeological sites are a kilometer away from the lake. A unique experience that is just an hour's drive, 18 km outside Loutraki. See how you get to Heraion HERE

Vrachati Beach

It is like a small island and has a cosmopolitan sense and it is just next to Athens. Vrachati is the cosmopolitan corner of the Peloponnese located next to the sea, 12 km west of the city of Corinth, 93 km away from Athens, and about two hours through the new highway from Patras. You will easily reach and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear blue waters. The beach of Vrachati has thin pebbles as sand, but it is not sandy. See exactly where the beach is HERE.

Psatha Beach

Photo Source: Google Maps This beach is in the area of Keratea in Attica and it is the best getaway without any exaggeration.

I'm sure you've heard of this particular beach. But have you been there? This is one of the beaches of Attica that has warm waters. It is about an hour from the center of Athens and is enclosed in a pine forest that will offer you coolness and quietness. It is a pebbled beach with crystal clear warm waters. One of its advances is the fact that it is quite a long beach so it is never fully crowded no matter how many people are there. If you love clean and warm waters then you've found out where you will go for swimming. See HERE on the map where Psatha is located.
