There are some places in Greece that you can hardly know despite their beauty. Either because they may not be so well known or because you didn’t happen to be near there. One of these places is Pteleos, the sophisticated seaside village of Magnesia. It is a small seaside paradise that most people do not know. If you find yourself in Magnesia, you should definitely get to know this place up close. The Municipality of Pteleos is a group of settlements in the prefecture of Magnesia with a population of less than 3,000 inhabitants. The village combines history with nature and all amenities. In other words, it guarantees that you will spend dreamy, alternative and sophisticated summer holidays. Access is by road, or by boat for visitors from the sea.

For history lovers, now, the area has existed since antiquity and has many historical sights. Among them are the Mycenaean tombs, the Venetian Castle at Pigadi with its magnificent views and the well-preserved ruins of an old windmill. There is also the habitat of Lichoura, the maritime museum of Achilleion and many churches, such as Agios Georgios, from where you can admire the Pagasetic Gulf and Pelion.

Undoubtedly the seaside part of Pteleos is what makes the place stand out and locals and visitors love it and not compare it with any other place in the world! The beaches of Panagia, Lefki, Agia Marina, Lichoura, Loutro, Pachiammos, Draka, Marouna are some of the most famous in the area, with crystal clear waters and easy access by sand. All beaches have been awarded with Gold Star and Blue Flag and their beauty and cleanliness.

Ο Πτελεός είναι ένα παραθαλάσσιο χωριό της Μαγνησίας που βρίσκεται στη θεσσαλική ακτή. Η πρόσβαση γίνεται οδικώς με αυτοκίνητο ή με σκάφος για επισκέπτες που έρχονται από τη θάλασσα. Το χωριό είναι εύκολα προσβάσιμο από το Βόλο και το Πήλιο.

Στον Πτελεό θα βρείτε εξαιρετικές παραλίες όπως η Παναγιά, Λεύκη, Αγία Μαρίνα, Λιχούρα, Λουτρό, Παχιάμμο, Δράκα και Μαρούνα. Όλες διαθέτουν πεντακάθαρα νερά, εύκολη πρόσβαση με άμμο και έχουν βραβευτεί με Χρυσό Αστέρι και Γαλάζια Σημαία για την ομορφιά και καθαριότητά τους.

Ο Πτελεός διαθέτει πλούσια ιστορία που σαν χωριό υπάρχει από την αρχαιότητα. Μεταξύ των ιστορικών αξιοθέατων είναι οι Μυκηναϊκοί τάφοι, το Ενετικό Κάστρο στο Πηγάδι με εκπληκτική θέα, ο βιότοπος της Λιχούρας, το ναυτικό μουσείο του Αχιλλείου, ερείπια παλιού ανεμόμυλου και αρχαίες εκκλησίες όπως ο Άγιος Γεώργιος.

Ο Δήμος Πτελεού είναι ένα μικρό παραθαλάσσιο χωριό με πληθυσμό λιγότερο από 3.000 κατοίκους, γι' αυτό και παραμένει ψαγμένο και μη υπερπολυσύχναστο. Είναι ιδανικός προορισμός για εναλλακτικές και ήσυχες διακοπές που συνδυάζουν φύση, ιστορία και σύγχρονες ανέσεις.

Ο Πτελεός είναι γνωστός ως ψαγμένος προορισμός γιατί παραμένει σχετικά άγνωστος και μη τουριστικά κατακλυσμένος, παρά την εξαιρετική ομορφιά του. Το χωριό συνδυάζει αρμονικά τη φύση, τις καθαρές παραλίες, τη φιλοξενία και τις παροχές, κάνοντάς το ιδανικό για τους που ψάχνουν ήσυχες και ονειρεμένες καλοκαιρινές διακοπές.
