Lefkada: Beaches that impress

Porto Katsiki: For Porto Katsiki beach, fame precedes its name, since it is considered one of the best beaches in the entire Mediterranean. You will find it on the southwest side of the island, an hour away from the center, and prefer to follow the coastal route. Once you arrive, you will see dense vegetation and 100 carved steps, a paradise on earth.

Egremni: Egremni is a beach famous for its breathtaking natural landscape. Its waters are in the shade of turquoise and have taken their name from the breathtaking rocks that surround it. Under your feet, you will find golden sand, while on the beach, there are umbrellas and sunbeds to rent.
You can reach it by boat, by sea, or by road.

Make sure you get plenty of water, from the beach bar you will find, before the descent but also for your entire stay and do not have heavy luggage with you.

Kathisma: At a distance of 15 km west of Lefkada, on a route from verdant small villages, you will find Kathisma beach. There, you will walk on a sandy shore and swim in crystal-clear waters.

MikrosGialos: On the south side of the island, at the bottom of the village of Poros, you will see Mikros Gialos beach. It is an excellent choice for your summer relaxation, since it is located almost in isolation in the surrounding mountains.

The beach is fully organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, while near it you will find restaurants and cafes.

Vasiliki: Vasiliki beach is located in the center of the homonymous picturesque village, where you can find a variety of shops. On its shore, you’ll find pebbles, but as you walk into its shallow waters, you’ll come across sand, which makes it suitable even for younger children—especially on the side facing the harbor.

Aghiphyll: Agiofylli beach is located on the south side of the island, in the middle of Vasiliki and Ammousso.
You can reach it via the sea route from the port of Vasiliki, or by car via a dirt road.
The coast is pebbly, and you will need an umbrella for shade.

Keep in mind that during July and August, you should visit it early, as it is highly mobile.

Otherwise, you can take the boat route.
